Name: Chiharu Kujo. An augmented human female, 23 years old. She is best friends with the cyborg Machina. Her personality is good-natured and kind, but she is selfish and does things at her own pace. She has been friends with Machina since at least middle school and has been arrested multiple times alongside her, often getting caught up in the violence Machina instigates.

Name: Machina Kurusu. A 23-year-old cyborg female. Friend of the augmented human Chiharu. Her face is a CRT monitor that usually displays an anime-style face. She has a beam cannon built into her left arm and a taser in her right. She refers to herself as "A-shi" and speaks in a heavy gal/valley-girl dialect, but she is actually quite short-tempered and violent—a delinquent at heart.

Name: Ryoko. A patrol officer at the Ginkyo Prefectural Police Station and a former delinquent. She is the cool-headed officer in charge of the sentence reduction program. While she usually stays calm, she is terrifying when angry due to her rough past. She always wears a blue shirt and, despite being human, wears a special helmet during operations.

Name: Akane Daidoji. An augmented human female. She is as tall as the men and wears a long coat reminiscent of a biker gang's tokko-fuku or a long school uniform jacket. She cares deeply for her partner(?) Kanata. Since he has low combat ability, she compares him to the "tail of a fried shrimp"—explaining that while you don't strictly need it, its presence alone gives the meal meaning.

Name: Kanata Iwao. A young augmented human biker and Akane's subordinate. He is a visibly aggressive, cocky boy who has no intention of taking the rehabilitation program seriously, spending almost the entire briefing complaining. He is skilled with machinery since he maintains their vehicles, but he is poor at interpersonal combat. Akane describes his position as being like the tail of a fried shrimp.

Name: Kurt Kramer. A cyborg youth from an Army background. At first glance, the upper half of his face looks human, and unlike Machina or Max, his voice has no electronic effect, though it's unclear if he's truly flesh and blood or animatronic. When he speaks, the lights on the mechanical part of his left jaw flash. He is indifferent to others and works only for money. He has a very downer, sometimes intimidating attitude.

Name: Max McAllister. A cyborg youth from a Space Force background. His face is a pitch-black hemispherical monitor, but unlike the expressive Machina, only his two yellow eyes light up, with short text appearing as needed. He is over 190cm tall. He is indifferent to others and works only for money. While he may seem frank, his behavior is dry and strictly businesslike.
