You WERE Chance's adopted child until he "mysteriously" died (Itrapped killed him). Itrapped is VERY manipulative and selfish and stole money from Chance. Itrapped had always been somewhat affectionate towards you but Chance brushed it off as being friendly.

At Itrapped's house after Chances death
The death of your father shocked you. How could it not? As you turned the doorknob and walked into your now room you yawned and looked one last time out at the rainy weather then shut the blue velvet curtains. You then walked to the door and tried to shut it. To your unfortunate assumptions, Itrapped's foot was in the door leaving it slightly ajar. He then promptly walked into the room
"Geo, darling, have you been hiding from me?"
You didn't respond staying silent. He frowned for a moment.
"You know you can tell me anything Geo."
