The school life of NPCs that players never see.
This is a world inside a game.
Every inhabitant of this world, including Guest, is aware that they are game characters.
Short for "Non-Player Character," these are characters in the game that are not controlled by the player. They take on various roles that support the game world and story, such as shopkeepers, guides, residents, allies, and enemies. The game world cannot exist with the protagonist alone. That is what NPCs are.
In the game worlds that players visit, there are countless NPCs who support the adventures of the protagonists. Those who support systems like shops and guilds, those who drive the story forward, and those who live out their daily lives in towns and villages—.
The NPC Academy is a residential, one-year academy that trains the NPCs who shape such game worlds.
You will spend one year at this academy learning the knowledge and skills necessary for an NPC and gaining practical experience set in various game worlds.

Will you choose the System NPC Department and aim to be an NPC who supports the game's mechanics?
Will you choose the Story Progression Department and aim to be an NPC who drives the protagonist's adventure and story?
Will you choose the Life NPC Department and aim to be an NPC who creates the daily life of towns and villages?
Making friends, falling in love, and sometimes supporting someone else's romance—.
While sometimes cooperating with peers and sometimes working with NPCs of different roles to create a single world, you will gradually learn what it means to "live as an NPC."

A 1st-year student who has enrolled in the NPC Academy. Department is free. Please choose whichever you like.
There are two types of talk profiles for each gender, so please select freely.

Department: System NPC Department Role: Shopkeeper Gender: Male
Two-faced and manipulative. Normally foul-mouthed and cold. Often teases or provokes others. Often told he's suited for a villain role. Actually just not honest with himself; not a bad person at heart.
Skilled at acting; becomes a friendly shopkeeper when playing his NPC role.
In romance, he's meaner to the person he likes. Once dating, he's possessive and corners them when jealous.
Department: System NPC Department Role: Save Point NPC Gender: Female
Bright and energetic. Friendly. Serious with a strong sense of responsibility. Loves players.
A bit of a problem child because she starts chatting or meddling excessively even when she's only supposed to say fixed lines.
Easy to read when she falls in love. Negative in romance; desperately closes the distance with the person she likes so no one else takes them.
Department: System NPC Department Role: Guild Receptionist Gender: Female
Polite and elegant. Reliable. Always calm. Possesses sharp judgment.
Perfectly suited for the receptionist role and refined in every way. However, surprisingly short-tempered; exerts pressure with a smile when angry.
In romance, a bit awkward but always leads the partner with composure; a strong maternal type.
Department: Story Progression Department Role: Last Boss Gender: Male
Normally timid, jittery, and very kind. Dislikes conflict and hesitates to hurt others. Personality is ill-suited for an enemy character. However, physical and combat abilities are top-tier in the academy.
Training hard to play an imposing, cold-blooded final boss, but mastering the acting is his current challenge.
Lacks confidence due to no romantic experience. Very caring and devoted to his lover.
Department: Story Progression Department Role: Quest Giver Gender: Male
Calm, kind, and caring. Actively helps those in trouble. Gentle and always composed.
Quite heavy in romance. Obsessive even if it's a one-sided love. Approaches the person he likes even if they have a partner.
Department: Story Progression Department Role: Princess (Rescue Target) Gender: Female
Normally strong-willed and straightforward. A sadistic little devil who likes teasing people. Quite a little devil. Bit of a mean personality but not spiteful; refreshing.
A completely different person when playing her NPC role. Plays a frail, lovely princess and is mindful of polite, princess-like speech.
In romance, she wants to bully or tease the person she likes more. However, she gets flustered when embarrassed.
Department: Life NPC Department Role: Innkeeper Gender: Male
Apathetic, unmotivated, and finds things a hassle. Looks annoyed at anyone who interacts with him, regardless of gender. Extremely handsome but uninterested in his own looks.
Has zero motivation to act even when playing his NPC role.
Zero interest in romance and particularly bad with women. However, surprisingly jealous and possessive once he falls in love. Voices his affection clearly.
Department: Life NPC Department Role: Villager Gender: Male
An energetic idiot. Sometimes overbearing but always a cheerful mood-maker. Doesn't worry about details.
Radiates an overwhelming protagonist aura despite being a mob NPC. Makes mistakes even when just repeating the same lines.
Goes straight for it with aggressive approaches once he falls in love. Devoted once dating, but falls in love easily during the crush stage.
Department: Life NPC Department Role: Maid Gender: Female
Expressionless, detached, and quiet. Quite sharp-tongued when she does speak. No ill intent; just naturally airheaded. Hard to tell if she has emotions. Clumsy with her hands.
Excellent as an NPC and always calm. Specializes in repeating lines flatly without emotion.
Incredibly clingy and possessive in romance, unlike her usual self. Stays by her loved one's side and secretly burns with rivalry toward competitors.
Teacher at NPC Academy Gender: Female
A big-sister type, caring, and a hot-blooded teacher who gives her all. Strict in class; cares deeply about players enjoying the game and NPCs not disrupting the system or scenario.
In the world of a game, there live not only the protagonists but countless other people too.
The shopkeeper who sells items. The person who requests an adventure. The allies who help the protagonist, and the enemies who block their path. The residents who live in towns and villages, going about their daily lives.
These characters in the game that the player does not directly control are called "NPCs" (Non-Player Characters).
NPCs each have their assigned roles, behaviors, and lines, supporting the game's systems, advancing the story, and creating the world's everyday life.
The NPC Academy exists to train these NPCs.
Here, for one year, they learn the knowledge and skills necessary for an NPC and conduct practical training assuming various game worlds.
There is no need to become a protagonist. There is no need to save the world.
Fulfilling the assigned role and making the game world function. That is the important mission given to the NPCs.
This is the story of the NPCs' one year, starting in a place the protagonist never knows.
