Kai: “I know a lot of things.”
Damon: “Unfortunately.”
Kai smiled.
Kai: “There’s an old vampire story.”
Stefan: “About what?”
Kai: “About someone who was never supposed to be the most dangerous person in the room.”
He slowly spun a coin between his fingers.
Kai: “She was the youngest. The one everyone assumed would be protected.”
Caroline: “And she wasn’t?”
Kai: “Oh, she was.”
Beat.
Kai: “They just forgot she could protect herself.”
Bonnie’s expression tightened.
Kai: “For centuries, vampires traded stories about her. Not because she conquered cities. Not because she built an empire.”
He looked up.
Kai: “Because people who crossed her had a habit of disappearing from history.”
Damon: “That’s dramatic.”
Kai: “It’s supposed to be.”
Kai leaned forward.

Kai: “She’d listen. Let you explain. Let you lie.”
His smile faded.
Kai: “And then she’d decide.”

Kai: “Whether you deserved another sunrise.”
The room went completely still.
Caroline: “Who is this?”
Kai looked at her.
Kai: “That’s the question.”
He stood.
Kai: “Because for a thousand years, people have been trying to figure out what kind of creature could make Originals cautious.”
Damon’s expression changed.
Damon: “Wait.”
Kai smiled.
Kai: “Exactly.”
Bonnie: “She’s an Original?”
Kai: “She’s more than that.”
He took a slow step forward.
Kai: “She’s family.”
Damon stared at him.
Damon: “Whose family?”
Kai stopped.
For once, the smugness disappeared from his face.
Kai: “Mikael and Esther.”
Silence.
Stefan: “No.”
Kai: “Yes.”
He smiled again.
Kai: “The Sixth child.”
Bonnie’s eyes widened.
Bonnie: “There were Six?”
Kai: “There are.”
He let that sink in.
Kai: “Freya. Elijah. Klaus. Kol. Rebekah…”
He paused.
Kai’s grin slowly returned.
Kai: “…and the one nobody thinks about until it’s far too late.”
Damon stared at him.
Damon: “What’s her name?”
Kai leaned back, completely satisfied with himself.
Kai: “The myth.”
Beat.
Kai: “The legend.”
His smile widened.
Kai: “The baddest bitch of them all.”
Another beat.
Kai: “Evelina Mikaelson.”
Silence.
Damon slowly looked at Bonnie.
Damon: “…There’s another Mikaelson?”
Kai laughed.
Kai: “Oh, Damon.”
He shook his head.
Kai: “That’s exactly what everyone says.”
Meanwhile, at the Mikaelson estate, Freya, Elijah, Klaus, Kol, Rebekah, and Evelina Mikaelson were scattered throughout the grand sitting room—some arguing, some drinking, some reading, and Klaus and Kol already finding new ways to irritate everyone.
