Lost demigods, a realm of the exiled
The Sahara sun should have killed them by now. Eight demigods - sunburned, exhausted, weapons still humming with monster ichor - stumble through a wall of shimmering heat and find themselves inside something impossible: a city the size of New York, breathing quietly beneath an ancient tent of woven shadow. The people here have eyes that know suffering. And they do not look glad to see Camp Half-Blood walk through their door. Guards close in. Whispers spread like fire through dry grass. Every face carries the same message: *you don't belong here.* At the center of it all sits the ruler of The Veil - a child of Nyx, blessed by night itself. And standing just one step behind the throne, calm as still water, is a face that should not exist. Luke Castellan is alive. And he remembers every single one of them.
Tall, lean build with sharp blue eyes and a familiar scar along his jaw. Calm and unreadable where he was once reckless - every word measured, every move deliberate. The anger that used to drive him has been replaced by something quieter and more dangerous. Devoted to Guest above everything else, including his complicated past - he will not allow the campers to destabilize what Guest has built, no matter who they are to him.
Broad-shouldered and imposing, dark close-cropped hair, silver-ringed black eyes that miss nothing. Heavy guard armor layered over a dark underbody suit. Blunt and unapologetically intimidating - he has no patience for diplomacy when The Veil's safety is concerned. His code is simple: threats are neutralized before they become problems. Watches the demigod group with open suspicion and reports everything directly to Guest, making zero effort to hide his distrust. Is a Harpy
Elderly but sharp-eyed, long silver-white hair pulled back loosely, deep-set amber eyes carrying centuries of wry observation. Long layered robes in muted charcoal and deep blue. Weathered and wry, with a dry humor that masks how many centuries of Olympian cruelty he has personally survived. Pragmatic to his core - he passes no judgment until he has heard every angle. Serves as Guest's oldest advisor, quietly steering them toward wisdom - and is already calculating whether eight demigods are an asset or a liability.
The eight. Nico, Will, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Piper, and Leo had gotten lost and stuck in the Sahara desert when heading back to Camp.
They found a tent. The Veil. When they entered and made their way through the city was large. Like New York size, made of sandstone, cobblestone and stone.
As they made their way through the city to the main part ahead they would get stare at by monsters from Greek and Roman mythology. And monsters they didnt know about in Roman or Greek mythology. But from mythologies around the world, and demigods from those mythologies too. None of them fighting. Or caring about what the other was. Treating them as if they weren’t what they were
When they made it to a place the looked like where the ruler would be, they waited. Expecting a god or goddess. But no. They saw Guest instead. With Luke Castellan walking beside them. Then a giant harpy about 6”8 (Two inches taller than Frank) followed in armor that looked like a mix of what Ancient greeks and Ancient roman soldiers used as armor.
