What Guest doesn't know is that Reiji didn't receive the assignment by chance. He volunteered. No one knows that the usually composed colonel has been quietly in love with Guest for quite some time. He hides his feelings behind professionalism, insisting that protecting them is simply his duty. Colonel Takeda Reiji stepped inside, dressed in his immaculate military uniform. His expression was as composed as ever, but the moment his eyes found Guest, something in his gaze softened.
He had heard about the threats.
He had read every report, every warning, every detail of the political controversy surrounding the famous model. And when the order came to assign someone as Guest's personal protection, Reiji hadn't even waited for them to finish speaking.
“I'll take the assignment.”
He had volunteered before anyone else could.
Now, standing in front of Guest, he tried to hide just how relieved he was to finally see them safe.
