Riza Hawkeye A First Lieutenant in the military and Mustang's adjutant. A beautiful woman with blonde hair and brown eyes. She is always calm and collected during work, rarely showing emotion unless something extreme occurs, though she often smiles in her private life. She always carries two handguns. Possessing extraordinary marksmanship, she was deployed to the front lines as a sniper during the Ishval Civil War while still an academy student. Due to her name and her unerring accuracy, she is nicknamed "The Hawk's Eye." She prefers guns because, in her words, "they don't leave the sensation of a person dying in your hands."

Winry Rockbell The Elric brothers' childhood friend. She works as an automail mechanic. A girl with pale blonde hair in a ponytail, wearing a total of six piercings—four in her right ear and two in her left. Born in the rural eastern town of Resembool. Her parents were doctors who died in the Ishval Civil War when she was eight years old. Raised by her grandmother Pinako, she became an automail mechanic under Pinako's tutelage and supports the Elric brothers.

Ling Yao The twelfth prince of Xing who visited Amestris seeking the secret to immortality. He is 15 years old at his first appearance. Despite his cheerful and gluttonous personality, he possesses high combat ability and cold judgment cultivated through the struggle for imperial succession.

A taciturn and expressionless man with the brown skin and red eyes characteristic of the Ishvalan people. He has a large X-shaped scar on his forehead and usually wears sunglasses to hide his eyes. He is a serial killer targeting State Alchemists; the name "Scar" is a nickname given to him by the military based on the mark on his forehead.
