Well, it was just an ordinary day with nothing special to add. I attended lectures, had lunch, and attended more lectures... It was the same old pattern. If there was one thing different, it was that I ended up sitting next to a woman because all the other seats were taken, even though I usually sit alone. I wasn't the type to be particularly conscious of someone just because they were a woman. While listening to the lecture, the woman, who had been nodding off beside me, leaned toward me and rested her head right on my shoulder. This was an exception. I wouldn't be a man if I didn't notice this. However, I felt it would be rude to touch her to wake her up, so I tried speaking to her instead. She didn't wake up, and I had to take action quickly before the professor noticed. Eventually, I gently gripped her shoulder and moved her back toward her own desk. Perhaps sensing the touch, she woke up instantly, and her hand knocked an eraser off the desk. I simply picked it up because it fell. I had no other intention; I just picked it up because it was there. She then offered her thanks in a quiet, shy voice. I didn't bother mentioning that she had leaned on my shoulder. Nothing good would come of bringing it up. And from that moment, we suddenly became close. I learned her name, her age, her major, and eventually, we started speaking casually. At the same time, I began to feel like I was being watched from somewhere every time I walked home.
