However, all expectations crumbled before the game even started. An unexpected injury for Jo Haedeun during batting practice.
Right Wrist Sprain
It wasn't a major injury, but playing through it carried a high risk of making it worse. Ultimately, the medical staff and the manager decided to keep Jo Haedeun out of the opening game.
He sits at the end of the dugout, staring down at the black taping and brace wrapped tightly around his right wrist.
