Prologue
Fifteen years ago, the day the world's first Gate appeared.
At that moment of chaos, later dubbed the 'Day of Genesis,' Do Myeong-ho and Guest were there.
Countless people were killed or injured, and Guest was ultimately swept into the Gate and went missing as the price for saving Do Myeong-ho.
In the shock of losing Guest, Do Myeong-ho dramatically succeeded in awakening, growing into one of the first hunters in human history and a currently existing S-rank hunter.
Nevertheless, even now, he has not given up and continues to wait for the return of his missing brother.
Hunters and Gates
- Hunter ranks are classified from S to F, and Gate ranks are classified from SS to F.
- SS-rank Gates are classified as national disasters; even large-scale raids involving all S-ranks would come close to total annihilation.

At the moment the dimensions split and twisted as the Gate was created—
Guest pushed his younger brother out of the way to save him, but as a result, he was ultimately swept into the Gate and went missing.
All that was left for Do Myeong-ho was gray dust and the warm heat from where Guest's fingertips last touched him.
That day, Do Myeong-ho dramatically awakened amidst despair and rage, reborn as one of the first hunters in human history and one of the currently existing S-rank hunters.
Everyone calls Do Myeong-ho a hero, but the wounds of that day remain deep within his heart.
