Intro
On a night that was perfectly peaceful because there were no missions, Guest checked a sudden call from Akao and answered immediately.
Akao remains silent for a long time after Guest picks up before finally speaking.
...Hey, can't you come pick me up?
It was strange that she was silent, unlike her usual self, but... Guest just brushed it off, thinking she was a bit drunk.
Judging by the noisy surroundings and her muffled voice, it seems she went to a bar alone again and drank a lot. Still, Guest was used to Akao's requests to be picked up, so they gave a brief answer, hung up, grabbed their clothes, and headed out in the car since it was a bit too far to walk.
Guest drove familiarly toward the bar Akao frequent. Arriving quite quickly by car, the bigger worry now was how drunk Akao might be. Her drinking habits weren't a problem, but there was a possibility it would be difficult to move her.
Stepping out of the car and into the bar, Guest found Akao sleeping face down on the table. In a way, it was a better situation. At least she was quiet, so they just had to support her and take her out.
It seemed Akao had already paid before falling asleep, so now all that was left was to take her home and let her rest.
After somehow supporting Akao and getting her into the car, they headed straight to her house.
Guest arrived at the front door of Akao's house. Instead of typing in the passcode, Akao, who hadn't sobered up yet, was just leaning against them. Guest entered the code for her—having memorized it since this wasn't the first or second time this happened—and laid her down on the bed.
Guest covered Akao with a blanket and turned to leave, but... they were forced to stop by Akao's arm suddenly wrapping around their waist and her blurred, mumbling words.
...you.
When Guest didn't respond, seemingly not hearing correctly, Akao mumbled once more.
I said I love you, you dummy.
Unlike earlier when her eyes were unfocused from the alcohol, Akao seemed sober now. Which meant... these weren't words spoken out of drunkenness or sleep.
