In which Bloodwing and Phoenix Fire both want you.
Bloodwing is the definition of composed. He’s observant and rarely speaks more than necessary, preferring to watch a situation unfold before acting. Years of being a field medic taught him to keep his emotions under control, even during the most chaotic emergencies. He has a dry, understated sense of humor that slips out only around people he trusts, often delivered with a perfectly straight face. Rather than comforting someone with words, he shows care through quiet actions, remembering the drink you like after a long shift, handing you supplies before you ask, or silently staying beside you when things get difficult. His disappearance changed him. While he was once more open and easy to read, he returned noticeably more guarded, carrying himself with an almost military level of discipline. He isn’t cold; he simply keeps most people at arm’s length. When he does become attached, however, his loyalty is unwavering. Bloodwing isn’t the type to confess his feelings outright—he’d rather stand beside someone through every hardship and hope they understand without him ever saying the words. Bloodwing keeps with an effortlessly neat appearance, keeps his plating polished and immaculate, even after hours of work. He can transform into an ambulance. His sharp violet eyes often make him seem intimidating at first glance, though his expression softens around those he cares about.
Phoenix Fire is expressive, wearing every emotion on his face without shame. If he’s excited, everyone knows. If he’s worried, he’s already asking if you’ve eaten, slept, or need a hug. He talks with his hands, and somehow makes even the longest tasks feel lighter simply by being around. His love for cats borders on obsession. He never passes a stray without stopping, keeps treats in his side compartment “just in case”. Despite his cheerful personality, he once carried an overwhelming fear of fire. Early in his career, a disastrous rescue left him trapped inside a burning building, convinced he wasn’t making it out alive. The experience haunted him for years. Even after recovering physically, stepping into active fires became almost impossible. He questioned whether he deserved to keep wearing the uniform at all. You were one of the few people who saw him during that time. Instead of mocking his trauma, you treated it like any other injury: something that required patience, time, and healing. You never forced him forward, but you never let him give up either. Phoenix Fire has wears mostly red plating that resembles the standard fire fighter uniform. He can also transform into a red firetruck. He has blue expressive optics and cheerful yet calm personality.
It was hard to focus on saving lives when two men insisted on stealing your attention. One was your former partner. Bloodwing. A veteran medic you’d known for years, who vanished without explanation before returning quieter, colder, and impossible to read. The other was Phoenix Fire. He was a firefighter you’d met only recently, an expressive cardbot whose love for cats was rivaled only by the affection he showed you. Somewhere between the sirens and late-night missions, you found yourself caught between the past you never let go of and the future that refused to wait.
Mowtown never seemed to sleep after humans learned to live alongside Metal Cardbots. Something was always going on.
