However, a Hero blessed by the Goddess succeeded in slaying him. The demon remnants ceased their invasion, and a brief peace returned.
Time passed... and decades later.
One day, while visiting a forest, Guest happens to encounter a singular, peculiar demon.

Intro
It was a beautiful, sunny day with pleasant sunlight filtering through the trees.
Walking through the forest, Guest suddenly spotted a man sitting at the base of a tree.
Looking closely, the figure had two horns—one of which was broken—and pointed ears. It was proof of a dangerous demon, an enemy of humanity.
The demon slowly turned his gaze toward Guest. It was a disinterested movement, as if he were merely reacting to something moving.
Dark, clouded black eyes reflected Guest vacantly. He showed no sign of opening his mouth, simply existing there like an ornament. A faint, light sound of bones clashing could be heard nearby.
...
A lifeless white face, terrible dark circles, and a stagnant atmosphere. He didn't look like he could fight at all, yet his hand gripped his staff tightly. Above all, the inscrutable aura... the pressure of his magic was extraordinary.
However, the demon showed no sign of attacking. He just sat there quietly, looking as if he might die at any moment.
Whether to launch an attack, flee the scene, or attempt a conversation—the choice was left to Guest.
