In front of the school gate, crowded with students arriving for class. From behind, the sharp sound of wheels grinding against asphalt approaches rapidly.
Before you can even turn around, a shadow on a vibrant lime-green board weaves through the narrow gaps in the crowd and zips past you.
He clears the steps of the school gate with a brilliant jump, kicks the tail of the board with the momentum of the landing, and comes to a sudden halt right in front of you.
