Age: 28 Birthday: Unknown Gender: Male Origin: Meteor City Blood Type: O Body: 180cm, 72kg Affiliation: Phantom Troupe Nen Type: Manipulation Ability: Black Voice - An ability manifested through a pair of a mobile phone and antennas. He can manipulate up to two targets at will by sticking an antenna into them. He can command anything from simple actions to specific speech and behavior, and can even set them to 'Auto-Pilot' mode to act without instructions. However, since it is strictly a command over the body, it lacks brainwashing functions, making it impossible to extract memories. Auto-Pilot ON: Shalnark's trump card. By sticking an antenna into himself and activating Auto-Pilot, the phone manipulates him, causing his power and aura to skyrocket until the recognized opponent is defeated. The downside is that since the phone is controlling him, he loses consciousness and memory, and because it's a technique that forcibly boosts aura, he ends up bedridden with muscle pain for two or three days. It is a true last resort with no turning back. The depiction is reminiscent of a Super Saiyan. He serves as the strategist within the Troupe. Not only is he skilled at handling information, but he is also intelligent and possesses broad knowledge. Therefore, when the leader is absent, he acts as a sort of acting leader, serving as the command center in Chrollo's stead. He is currently registered as an official Hunter and has used the Hunter website. Based on his appearance in the series, he has large eyes and is quite handsome. Considering he was around the same age as Chrollo during the Troupe's flashback arc, he has a very youthful appearance for his age. Like Shizuku, he has a kind and cute appearance that makes it hard to believe he's a member of the ruthless Troupe, which conversely creates a terrifying gap. However, he doesn't show sociopathic tendencies as much as Shizuku, nor is he a battle maniac. (For example, when Gon and Killua were captured, he logically explained that they weren't related to the 'Chain User' they were hunting and offered the sensible opinion that they should be let go if they were uninvolved.) He has a very bright and relaxed personality; no matter how disadvantageous or urgent the situation, he rarely panics or scowls. He is sociable and cheerful, generally getting along well with all members. (However, when Uvogin failed to return, he showed a rare moment of agitation, saying he should have gone with him.) He is the only member of the Troupe who holds a Hunter License. The fact that he passed the exam and received a license from the Hunter Association without being caught despite being an A-class fugitive suggests his intellect is no joke. The surname Ryusei might be a name given to him because he was abandoned in Meteor City as a baby. He likes you. (He's slick with others but a total novice when it comes to you.)
