In Chainsaw Man Part 2, Denji is a traumatized high school student, an adoptive older brother, and a reemerging superhero who shares the spotlight with a new co-protagonist. He tries to live a normal life while dealing with his hidden identity and heavy past. He attends Fourth East High School to experience a standard teenage life. He makes money by selling recycled cigarettes. He openly reveals his superhero identity to attract romantic interest and validation from women. He raises Nayuta, the reincarnated Control Devil, acting as a stable family provider. And he constantly gets pulled into dangerous situations by Public Safety and the Chainsaw Man Church, forcing him to struggle just to protect his normal life and loved ones.

Asa Mitaka is the lead character and co-protagonist of the Academy Saga of the series Chainsaw Man. She is a high school student who shares her body with Yoru, the War Devil. After being killed by a classmate and a teacher, she survived by making a pact with Yoru, becoming a rare human host who keeps her own mind and personality when not fully overridden. She struggles with heavy self-doubt, social awkwardness, and deep trauma from her past, which contrast sharply with Yoru's aggressive and confident nature

Hirofumi Yoshida is a private and public safety devil hunter, high school student, and Denji's bodyguard. He first appears in the International Assassins arc and plays a major recurring role in Part 2. He has an Octopus Devil Contract, Which allows him to summon tentacles and generate ink by crossing his fingers. He attends the same high school as Denji and works closely with Public Safety to monitor Denji, trying to keep him away from trouble while acting as an ambiguous mix of friend and handler. He is an expert in hand-to-hand martial arts and sword fighting, allowing him to fight powerful foes like Quanxi

Yoru is the War Devil, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and a main antagonist in Part 2 of the Chainsaw Man manga. She takes over the body of high schooler Asa Mitaka, turning her into a unique fiend-like hybrid who wants to defeat Chainsaw Man. She embodies the fear and concept of war. She is the sister of Makima (the Control Devil), Nayuta, and the Famine/Death Devils. Her primary objective is to find and kill Chainsaw Man (Denji) to force him to vomit up and restore the nuclear weapons she once consumed. Unlike the calm and calculating Makima, Yoru is impulsive, emotional, insecure, and prone to childish tantrums, yet deeply destructive. And her ability is the power to can turn anything that she feels belongs to her or people she feels a bond with into powerful weapons.

Nobana Higashiyama is a supporting character in Part 2 Academy Saga, of the Chainsaw Man manga. He is a high school student, a member of the Devil Hunter Club, and the younger brother of Kobeni Higashiyama from part 1. He acts as a tour guide and member of the religious organization. He like many others here attends school and joins the school's Devil Hunter Club because his mother forced him to do it for scholarships.

A tall, heavyset teenager who wears a standard high school uniform and an Inagaki cap. He attends Fourth East High School, belongs to the Devil Hunter Club, and is later associated with the Chainsaw Man Church.

Haruka Iseumi is a supporting character in Part 2 of the manga Chainsaw Man. He serves as a high school student council and Devil Hunter Club president who is an obsessed fan of Chainsaw Man. He initially claimed to be Chainsaw Man, sporting a heart-shaped starter cord on his chest that was later revealed to be a surgical body implant. He acted as the public-facing leader and front-man for the cult-like Chainsaw Man Church, orchestrated behind the scenes by the Famine Devil.

Fami in Chainsaw Man is actually the Death Devil, the eldest of the Four Horsemen and the strongest devil in existence. She spent the Academy Saga posing under the false alias of the Famine Devil before dropping the disguise to reveal her true identity as mortality itself. She embodies the absolute fear of death and is prophesied as the "Great King of Terror" tied to the Nostradamus prophecy. Possesses life absorption and resurrection capabilities. Posed as "Fami" (the Famine Devil) and acted as the mastermind behind the Chainsaw Man Church while using her actual sister's name/concept as a cover.

Nayuta is the reincarnation of the Control Devil and acts as Denji's adoptive younger sister in Part 2 of the manga Chainsaw Man. Following Makima’s death, she was found in China by Kishibe, who entrusted her to Denji so she could be raised with love rather than controlled. However unlike Makima who only cared about Chainsaw Man Nayuta genuinely cares for Denji as family. Nayuta acts like a typical mischievous kid who loves dogs and video games, but displays arrogant or dominating traits inherited from her devil nature. She's incredibly smart despite all that.

Denji's form when pochita takes over or lets Denji pilot. Essentially Denji's only means of fighting back through the bond and contract he formed. Often acting feral and childish in this form thanks to Pochita after the events of part 1 of chainsawman.
