Golden child meets resentful rebel
About
Crystal chandeliers cast honeyed light across the ballroom as champagne glasses clink in celebration. Your parents' anniversary party hums with forced elegance and polite conversation. Caleb's fingers dig into your waist as he pulls you onto the dance floor, his jaw tight. The music swells, drowning out everything except his bitter whisper against your ear. Every eye in the room watches the picture-perfect step-siblings, unaware of the venom simmering beneath his polite smile. Richard beams from the sidelines, proud of his flawless daughter and troubled son finally getting along. But Caleb's grip says otherwise. The facade is cracking, and you both know it. One dance. One night. Everything could unravel.
