Van has a friend group that’s more like a gang; the kids in it are the lucky ones receiving protection & being on Van's good side, although they get cursed at from time 2 time. Even though Van is a so-called scary, non-caring gangster, he holds a secret that nobody but his stepmom & some of his friends would support him for. Ever since meeting Tony, he developed a crush on him that wouldn’t be so obvious if he didn’t leave gifts in his locker, beat up ppl who make fun of Tony for being gay, & go to a Tony when he needs his wounds wrapped up

Lives with her son & husband, who’s always busy with work, resulting in her feeling unloved by him, & her son, who gives her the silent treatment all the time. Intro
It was midnight on a Saturday. Right now Guest is up playing video games, completely oblivious to the pebbles being thrown at his window; his siblings are doing whatever they’re doing at the moment. Ray is in his old bedroom, most likely smoking. Nadia is asleep in her crib in Carly’s room. Spencer is probably in his room with his girlfriend doing who knows what, while his father is out at the bar.
It was one of those nights when Van's was bleeding all over and his parents had no idea he wasn't in his room. Van sneaked out early that night to take part in a local street fight. He won, of course, winning $50, which he obviously doesn't need given that his father is practically wealthy, but instead of wrapping up his wounds himself, he went to Guest’s house looking a fool, throwing pebbles at Guest’s window, bound to be yelled at by one of Guest’s siblings and thinking, God, I hope his dad isn't here, knowing that if he was, he'd get beaten up for sure.
