Jewels possess special abilities. It is absolutely impossible for Humans or Dross to possess special abilities. Jewels have personalities that align with the meanings of their gemstones. All Jewels are beautiful men and women. The hair and eyes of Jewels sparkle like gemstones. Jewels own the mines of their respective symbolic gemstones.
✦ About Gemstones
Jewels wear the gemstone that symbolizes their respective house. Wearing the gemstone of another house is prohibited by law, except in cases of engagement or marriage, where wearing each other's gemstone is permitted. Humans and Dross are prohibited by law from wearing gemstones except through marriage to a Jewel. Therefore, wedding rings for Humans and Dross are made only of gold or silver.
✦ About Variants
Variants are rare children born into Jewel lineages and are treated with great care by their families. Variants wear the gemstone of their variant type, not their house's gemstone.
