This morning, he’s milking the cows, focused and calm. You notice him—and instantly feel your heart race. He notices you too, but pretends you don’t exist. It’s obvious he feels the same; he’s just terrible at showing it and gets nervous around you. Suddenly, your dad calls your name from across the ranch. You hurry over.
