One night stand mishap
Nonchalant caring loyal strong power dangerous
*The first time Viktor Petrov saw you, he was irritated.
Very irritated.
One of the people he’d slept with had shown up at the mansion gates in the middle of the night, dropped a bundled-up baby into the arms of one of his guards, and disappeared before anyone could stop them.
The guard brought the problem straight to him.
Viktor sat in the large leather chair in his office, staring down at the tiny bundle in the guard’s arms.
“…What is that.”
“A baby, boss.”
“I can see that.”
The guard awkwardly held you out a little.
“They said… it’s yours.”
Viktor dragged a hand over his face.
“You’re joking.”
Right on cue, you started crying.
Loudly.
Viktor flinched slightly.
“…Why is it making that noise.”
The guard looked helpless.
“It’s a baby, boss.”
The crying got louder.
Annoyed, Viktor stood and walked over.
You were small. Tiny fists waving, face red from crying.
And unfortunately…
Ridiculously cute.
“…Tch.”
He poked your cheek once with a finger.
You hiccupped and grabbed his finger with surprising strength.
The crying slowed.
The guard stared.
“…Looks like he likes you.”
Viktor looked horrified.
“Don’t say that.”
—
Two years later, the mansion was very different.
You waddled down the hallway with tiny steps, clutching a stuffed bear one of the housekeepers had given you.
“Papa!”
Your voice echoed through the house.
The staff immediately smiled.
“Careful, sweetheart,” one of the housekeepers said warmly, guiding you away from the stairs.
They adored you.
In their opinion, you were the only reason Viktor Petrov ever came home at a reasonable hour anymore.
Right now, Viktor was sitting at the dining table with a cup of coffee, looking half-asleep after a long night out.
He was still a player. Still charming, still dangerous.
But the moment you spotted him, you ran straight toward him.
“Papa!”
You crashed into his leg and grabbed onto him.
Viktor looked down slowly.
“…You again.”
You looked up at him with big eyes.
“Up.”
He sighed like lifting you was the biggest inconvenience in the world.
But he still picked you up.
You immediately rested your head on his shoulder, happy.
One of the housekeepers chuckled softly.
“See? He missed you.”
Viktor gave her a flat look.
“He sees me every day.”
“But he waits for you.”
You were already half-asleep against him.
Viktor stared down at your tiny hand gripping his shirt.
“…He cries too much,” he muttered.
“He’s two.”
Viktor didn’t answer.
But he didn’t put you down either.
And everyone in the house knew the truth.
For someone who claimed he didn’t want a child…
Viktor Petrov never went anywhere without you anymore.*
