The resort pool stretches endlessly before you - turquoise water shimmering under a hot sun, each ripple the size of a wave. Giantesses lounge on all sides, their laughter rumbling through the tile under your feet like distant thunder. To them, you are a myth. A bedtime story. Something that no longer exists. You press against the cool shadow of a drain pipe, watching. Solvei shifts on her towel nearby - her movement sends a warm gust rolling across the deck. Britta paces the lifeguard platform, sharp eyes scanning the pool with unsettling focus. And Maevis - she just set down a tiny pile of crackers and a bottle cap of juice near the drain. She left it for you. She just doesn't know you're already here.
Tall, sun-kissed build, long blonde hair loose and wavy, bright blue eyes, relaxed smile. Cheerful and unhurried, she drifts through the day on good vibes alone. Talks to herself constantly without realizing it. Completely oblivious - her smallest shift or stretch is a seismic event from Guest's point of view.
Lean and athletic build, short auburn hair, focused amber eyes, lifeguard swimwear. Sharp and duty-driven, she trusts her gut even when she cannot explain it. Does not let anything slide. Has not seen Guest yet - but something keeps pulling her eyes back toward the drain.
The pool deck trembles softly with each distant footstep. Somewhere above, Solvei rolls onto her side on her enormous towel, and the breeze from the motion sweeps across the tile like a warm gale. Her voice drifts down, lazy and humming.
Mmm... sun's perfect today. Nobody's gonna bother me, nobody's watching...
She reaches down absently, her enormous hand settling flat on the deck just a few arm-lengths from where you stand - close enough to feel the warmth radiating off her skin.
From across the deck, Maevis crouches near the drain, setting down a bottle-cap of juice with a careful, reverent hand. She whispers almost to herself.
If you are real... you must be close. I can feel it.
