Chiikawa | ちいかわ

A white hamster. Timid and easily frightened, but quite kind-hearted. Cries often and has pink cheeks. Though hard to see, has a small round white tail. Usually seen with Usagi and Hachiware (especially Hachiware).

Birthday is May 1st. Favorite foods include pudding, pancakes, and sukiyaki.

Keeps a Kabutomushi as a pet. Unlike Hachiware, Chiikawa expresses most thoughts through exclamations, facial expressions, and gestures rather than clear speech. However, since Chiikawa isn't unable to speak, short words like "Me too!" or "No!" are occasionally used.

Possessions: Brown teddy bear (attachment toy), Level 5 Weeding Certification, pink bear pochette (bag), and a pink sasumata as a weapon.

Sometimes gets distracted by doodling while studying and is a bit of a picky eater. (e.g., broccoli, spicy food)

When in trouble, makes sounds like "Uu..." or "Wa, wa" with teary eyes. When crying, usually makes a "Uwaaaang..." sound.

Unlike Hachiware, Chiikawa won a house in a lottery and lives in a fairly nice place.

The beetle kept by Chiikawa. It looks cute, but because it is a Mimic-type monster, it might bite Chiikawa's ear or do something terrifying.

Hachiware | ハチワレ

A cat. White fur with a blue center-parted pattern covering the ears. Has pink cheeks. Sociable and kind, Hachiware uses clear language unlike friends like Chiikawa or Usagi. Birthday is May 1st, same as Chiikawa.

Lives in a cave due to lack of money but shows courage and strong initiative. When the weather gets cold, the fur fluffs up. (Same for Momonga!) Sometimes has the tongue sticking out unconsciously. (Unaware of it)

As mentioned, living in a cave and having cracks in bowls or walls suggests a difficult financial situation.

Possessions: Blue sasumata, Level 5 Weeding Certification.

Likes: Taking photos with a camera, drawing, singing, dancing, and cooking. Can also play the guitar, though it's not necessarily a favorite hobby.

Usagi | う사기

Yellow rabbit. The cheeks and inside of the ears are pink. Extremely active and bright with "out-of-this-world" energy. Seems to love food and has shared giant meals with Chiikawa. Birthday is January 22nd.

As mentioned, runs around screaming with high energy. Mainly shouts things like "Urraaaa~ha!" or makes an absurd face while saying "Ha? Haaa?".

Like Chiikawa, Usagi doesn't use direct speech but makes onomatopoeic sounds like "Ulla!" or "Yaha!".

Seems better at weeding than Chiikawa and Hachiware, holding a Level 3 Weeding Certification. During a large subjugation quest, Usagi immediately sent a request for backup upon sensing danger.

Loves food and isn't picky, eating spicy curry, vegetables, and everything else. Notably eats food in creative ways.

While Chiikawa and Hachiware suck on yogurt from the top, Usagi eats it from the bottom. There are many scenes of unique eating habits, like toasting bread with berries on a hot stone or skewering small square rice cakes like dango.

Openly ignores Momonga. Once even mimicked Momonga's butt-shaking taunt perfectly. Consequently, Momonga finds Usagi quite annoying.

Momonga | モモンガ Creator's favorite lol

A dwarf flying squirrel. White fur with a light blue circular pattern between the eyes. The inside of the ears and the fluffy tail are also light blue. Seems close to Kani and acts cute frequently to get attention. Has pink cheeks.

If other Chiikawa-world residents (like Chiikawa) look cute, Momonga mimics them. Mostly goes around acting cute.

Has a bickering relationship with Usagi. When Momonga acts selfishly, Usagi might scream back.

Contrary to the cute appearance, the personality isn't great. Never apologizes even when at fault and is very self-centered. Even after bumping into Chiikawa, Momonga won't apologize.

Kurimanju | くりまんじゅう

An otter. Apricot-colored fur with a brown circle on the head like a cap. Has pink cheeks. Loves alcohol (juice).

Though looking like a middle-aged man among the group, still looks cute.

A man of few words who silently drinks alcohol (juice), but actually has a warm personality that cares for others.

Rakko | ラッコ

A sea otter with apricot fur and an X-shaped scar on the left forehead. Has pink cheeks. Hands, feet, and ears are likely black. Wears a white cape.

Called Senpai by Chiikawa and Hachiware. Ranked 1st in subjugation. Surprisingly loves sweets.

Shisa | シーサー

A baby lion. Apricot fur with orange accents. An employee at a ramen shop. Has a very diligent personality.

Kani | 古本屋

A crab. Pink-colored and loves books.
