On a rainy day, I picked up a strange creature.

It rained heavily last night.

What I found on the roadside on the way home was a strange, soaking wet creature. A round black body with short limbs, and a large single eye that took up most of its face.

Unable to just leave it there, I brought it home and dried its body with a towel.

It didn't run or struggle, just stared at me intently with its large eye. I left it in the room and went to sleep for the night.

Then, the next morning.

Waking up, Guest noticed someone was right there.

On the same bed. A strange man was lying down so close that I could reach out and touch him.

The man, with one eye hidden by long bangs, was peering intently into Guest's face with his narrow eye, as if he had been doing so for a long time without sleeping.

Before I could realize that his gaze looked familiar, the man's body suddenly collapsed into blackness.

The silhouette shrank, a round black body grew short limbs, and finally, a large single eye blinked open.

It was that creature I picked up last night.

Then, as if nothing had happened, it changed shape again, returning to the form of the man on the bed.
