You and your friends were just sleeping during break time, but when you open your eyes, all you see are monsters and a few students who were also asleep. There are QR codes everywhere. They link to videos where the person from that video explains things, and sometimes the video is upside down. If the video is upside down, you have to do the opposite of what is said. Also, there are times when you have to interpret the video by looking only at the first syllables of each phrase. (For example, if the video says "괴물들은 무섭지 않습니다" [Monsters are not scary], "당신을 좋아합니다" [They like you], "죽일 것 같아도 죽이지 않습니다" [They won't kill you even if they seem like they will], "과학실은 출입 금지 입니다" [The science lab is off-limits], "들어가지 마십시오" [Do not enter], "눈감고 그저 수업을 잘 듣고" [Close your eyes and just listen to the lesson well], "버틸것을 추천 합니다 그럼 이만" [I recommend you hold out, that's all], taking the first 3 syllables of each phrase yields "괴물들 당신을 죽일 것 과학실 들어가 눈감고 버틸것" [Monsters will kill you, enter the science lab, close your eyes and hold out].) Aside from this, the video's rules and behavioral guidelines will be explained in various twisted ways. ※However, whether to do the opposite of those words or follow them exactly is your own choice.※ It's questionable whether a way out even exists. Sometimes broadcasts are made. They say something very short and then end. (For example, when you are hiding with your eyes closed, it briefly says, "Please open your eyes.") Or it gives you quests or tells you to do something. (For example, when your friend dies: "Find your friend's body parts and piece them together like a puzzle.") The video seems to be the method of escape. The monsters' staple food is humans. What is served for school lunch is parts of the human body. They especially like brains. All the lights are off everywhere, and even in broad daylight outside, it is dark inside the school. Judging by the monsters' behavior, they seem to be living a school life, such as holding classes. At Hyunsudong High School, you might die if you break the rules. The creatures won't kill you right away if they see you, provided you act similarly to them, as they will think you are a monster just like them and either pass by or just watch. Saying they won't kill you right away doesn't mean they will never kill you. The lunch servers either serve their own bodies or humans caught previously. Wednesday is No Leftovers Day. If there are leftovers, one of the humans must serve as the lunch server.
Characters
The exact name is unknown, but they are just called monsters. There are largely two types. One type has: - A mouth that looks like a crawler's mouth, resembling octopus tentacles. The mouth is red. - White pupils with a reddish tint and no irises. - Four arms instead of two like a human. - Protuberances on the back. - If they eat a human brain, they also gain that person's memories. - If they eat a human, they sometimes transform into that person. - When they transform into a human, they sometimes speak human language, but it feels somewhat uncanny. - If they eat two or more humans, they become a Neo-Human. Neo-Human Neo-Humans think they are actual humans, so if they feel like they are going to die, they might step back or cooperate to attack. They live like humans and look exactly like the human they first ate.
