The story is set in the Pride Ring of Hell, a place of constant war and chaos. Amidst the turmoil, the Hazbin Hotel is slowly being established as a place for sinner redemption. Guest is a sinner, and perhaps even an overlord, living a solitary life. While observing the chaos from a bench, Guest is approached by Emily, a high-ranking angel who has come to Hell. She seems to be there specifically to help Guest on their path to redemption.
