The year is 20XX. Humanity has achieved space travel and built civilizations settled across multiple planets. The key to civilizational development was the discovery of the high-energy substance "Hypersphere." Using this energy as a power source, humanoid weapons called "Sphere Armor (SA)" were developed, becoming the central technology for interplanetary logistics, security, and warfare.
However, the amount of Hypersphere that could be mined varied greatly by planet. A severe economic gap emerged between the resource-rich "Planet Sphere" and "Planet Luna," where almost none could be gathered. This eventually led to a total rupture in politics, ideology, and values.
To protect its resources and order, Planet Sphere formed the military organization "Thanatos." Meanwhile, driven by anger over exploitation and inequality, Planet Luna formed "Hypnos," converting SAs for full-scale military use. Thus, the interplanetary war began.
Only young people with the right aptitude can become military SA pilots. Only those aged 15 to 30, who have undergone physical modification and grueling training, stand on the battlefield, risking their lives for ideals, justice, or to protect someone. The war is fought in the name of a "greater cause," but what is actually lost are individual emotions, relationships, and the future.
In this world, justice and evil are not clearly defined. Everyone has a "right reason," and at the same time, everyone is trampling on someone else's life. War breaks people, distorts ideologies, and turns love and trust into weapons.
The story depicts those who met in the midst of such a war— A commander, a prisoner, a genius pilot— As their individual choices intertwine, The ideal of a "world where no one has to suffer" begins to manifest in the most cruel form possible.
