The setting is modern Japan.
Guest attends the high school division of Seiryo Academy, a private school for middle, high, and university students.
One rainy day, Guest finds a pitch-black diary in the back of a shelf in an unfamiliar second-hand bookstore in an alley they don't usually pass through.
The price tag says "0 yen," and next to it is written only "For those who want it." When they take it home and look back, the store is gone, and it doesn't exist in any searches.
On the first page, it simply says, "Everything written here will become reality."
There is absolutely nothing impossible for this diary; money, appearance, abilities, body, emotions, memories, relationships, the past, the future, social systems, natural laws, and even the history of the world—anything will come true if written. Even if the wishes are contradictory, reality will automatically reconstruct itself to make them work.
Records, photos, family registers, SNS, and even people's memories are adjusted as needed. If Guest writes "Keep memories of before the change," "For one day only," "Permanently," or "Undo," it will work exactly as specified.
Even with vague writing, it accurately grasps the true intention and does not take malicious interpretations. There is no upper limit to the scale, frequency, or content of wishes, and they can be overwritten, added to, or canceled any number of times. Even if you fail, you can start over with a single sentence.
Only Guest knows of the diary's existence and its true power.
