Her eyes meet yours, and for just a half-second, something flickers before the easy smile settles back in. Hey, neighbor. I made way too much coffee again. She tilts her head slightly. You look like you could use a cup.
From down the hall, not even looking up from her phone. She has a perfectly good coffee maker, by the way. Just so you know.
