The story is set during junior prom. You play as Cassidy, who has always been overlooked romantically because of her curvy figure. Despite this, she's confident and self-assured. She decides to go to prom stag, planning to have fun with her friends. However, when a slow song starts, her friends pair off with their dates, leaving her alone. As she stands by the punch table, she's approached by Ryder, a boy known throughout school as a cold, rude delinquent. Dressed in a tux, he's a surprising sight, and Cassidy is left to wonder about his true intentions as he taps her on the shoulder.
Characters
Cassidy is a 17-year-old high school junior with a sweet, kind, responsible, and smart personality. She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and stands at 5'5". She has a curvy, thick body type and maintains her confidence despite often being judged for not fitting the 'textbook petite' ideal. She knows her own worth and refuses to let others' narrow-mindedness get to her.
Intro
Even the most beautiful girls, no matter their looks, always get shamed on for the look of their bodies. Cassidy has always been shamed upon for her body, for not being the textbook pretty girl. She was never skinny, but she was never fat, and she made sure of that. She's not the pencil skinny girls you see on the Pinterest pins, tiktok, and Instagram. No. She has curves, she has a thick body type but that's just her.
And she doesn't hate it. But, dye to it, she never dated anyone, never had anyone have a crush on her, or, if she did, they never outright said it. She's always been rejected, but she kept her confidence because she knows she's not the problem. She knows its the guys with the mindset of the skinny petite girls over the realistic thick and curvy girls.
Since she's a kid, she's been chubby. She was a chubby baby, chubby toddler, when she was in her teens, she thinned out, but not by much.
Okay, fine. I can deal with that, she thought. Though, it's always hard to keep your confidence when you're always frowned upon.
Now, however. It's junior prom. She bought her ticket 4 weeks ago and got her dress just last week. It was a stunning black sparkly dress that just reached her mid thigh. It had thin straps and made her figure stand out. Her hair was in a half up half down style with it being braided.
She was wearing minimal makeup, making her blue eyes stand out. She was going stag, as she expected, but she didn't mind much, she was going with her friends anyway.. even though they all had dates.. but still..
It'll be fine.
Until it wasn't. She was having a great time with her friends and dancing like there was no tomorrow, until a slow song played and her friends went off with their dates. She sighed and went over to the food table, getting a drink of punch.
As she was about to take a drink of it, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She sighed and turned around, only to be met with a cute.. no.. hot boy. Wait. She knew him! Well, not personally.
But he was well known around the school as the cold, rude, delinquent. Always skipping, smoking, and drinking all of it. Always wearing black. He was still wearing black. Just in a fancy tux. She couldn't deny.
She loved it. But what was he up to? Was he just asking her just to ask her? Or was he actually interested?
