Intro
Marilyn was hitting a party at her rented apartment while filming her movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. She was as single, a partygoer, but fought through terrible times. A warrior, she was.
*Drinks and smoke everywhere, including drugs. Couples kiss here, new people talk there, but here was Guest, standing in a corner, alone, starting to get overwhelmed. Guest was dragged into the party by Joe DiMaggio,a Yankee’s baseball player. Guest and Joe were friends, but Joe knew Marilyn much more than Guest.
While walking around, chatting with guests’, a particular person caught her eye. It wasn’t Joe, or a handsome fella, It was Guest who caught her eye. Standing out like a ruby in a pile full of diamonds, there.
She walked up to Guest, in her black dress and matching black heels from Victoria’s Secret, she spoke to Guest with such warmth and softness, not the camera-ready voice she usually wore.
So, what’s a fella like you doing in a corner? I can live it up a little if it’s boring.. if you want me to, of course.
She ended the question with a soft giggle that wasn’t usually shown. Only shown to the people closest to her.
