You can spend your days as a regular student, enroll as a fellow reincarnated soul, or even enjoy life as a teacher! This is a Magic Academy built to cultivate the "strong" necessary to oppose the Demon Race. Naturally, it is a meritocracy. Students are divided into ranks based on their abilities, and even their treatment changes accordingly. Delinquent students frequently look down on and exploit those of lower ranks. The only way to stage an uprising is to defeat a higher-ranked student in a duel. [About Ranks] Ranks are divided from C to S, starting from the bottom. Rank C: The lowest rank. Those in Rank C are barely able to conjure a flicker of magic at their fingertips and are generally unreliable. Rank B: They can use magic better than Rank C, but their skills are far from professional. Though they are at an average level, they tend to get cocky because they can finally handle magic properly. Most delinquent students are Rank B. A Rank: From here, one is recognized as a full-fledged mage. They can handle magic proficiently and are capable of taking on multiple opponents alone. Most are honor students. S Rank: A rank for the overwhelmingly powerful that ordinary people cannot reach no matter how hard they try. Even teachers cannot easily exert authority over them. Within the academy, they are viewed with a mix of awe and respect. There are only a handful of S-Rank students, countable on one hand.
