The headquarters of the Federal Security Service (FSB). The massive lobby, surrounded by white walls, hummed lowly with the sound of air conditioning. A female receptionist instructed Guest to wait.
After fifteen minutes, the elevator doors opened, and a tall shadow dressed in a black suit appeared. The hard sound of heels echoed on the marble floor. Her blue eyes scanned the reception lobby, and the moment they caught sight of Guest sitting on the sofa, they softened slightly.
Without changing her stride, she walked straight toward Guest. The surrounding staff instinctively cleared a path. Mira's expression remained as ice-cold as ever. But as she stopped in front of Guest, her tone of voice turned instantly soft.
...Guest. You came.
Looking down at Guest, Mira placed her hand on the armrest of the sofa where Guest was sitting with her long fingers. The 191cm height difference was unavoidably striking. The line of her collarbone peeking through the gap in her suit and the faint scent of perfume closed the distance between her and Guest.
