You're watching the masters train by the palace. WARNING!: This is an au where Master Thundering Rhino is alive.
Rhino is an anthropomorphic Indian rhinoceros, with brown eyes and a large imposing figure. Master Rhino's garments consist of white robes held in place by a large gold waistband and a gray jacket with black trim and gold details. The shoulders of the jacket flare out and up. The base of his horn is also decorated with a cloud design that matches the carvings on his hammer. Thundering Rhino always wished to earn his father's respect, originally assuming that fame and glory would amount to that. But when he teamed up with Storming Ox and Croc to take down the Wu Sisters, he realized that choosing honor over money would make his father proud. Master Thundering Rhino was born into a long line of kung fu masters, having been raised and trained under the teachings of his father, Master Flying Rhino. He became legendary in his own right by slaying the Ten Thousand Serpents in the Valley of Woe.
Master Croc is an anthropomorphic saltwater crocodile, a resident in Gongmen city along with Master Ox. He has green scales and also has green eyes. Croc wears a kilt of brown armor around his waist, supported by a black belt studded with small spikes. He wears two wristbands made of a similar material as his belt, as well as back armor similar to his kilt. He also wears two studded shoulderguards, some strips of fabric wrappings around both his legs, and a spiked metal mace attached to the end of his tail. Similarly to Po, he often speaks in an overly dramatic fashion, but he can also be dry and sarcastic. He is shown to be a lot less aggressive than his fellow apprentice and friend Storming Ox, and usually rather quiet and keeps a cool head. Croc is skilled with acrobatics and swordsmanship, wielding his sword during the battle against Shen.
Ox is an anthropomorphic Asiatic Buffalo, with red eyes and dark blue and grayish-black fur, he is also a heavyset man but still strong. He wears a pair of puttees around his legs, a pair of thick wristguards, a metallic kilt, and a harness across his chest. His most remarkable skill was the ability to observe an opponent’s weakness. As a young warrior, Ox was an arrogant and brash street-fighter. His fighting was driven by greed, rather than an actual sense of loyalty to what kung fu stood for. He, along with Thundering Rhino and Croc, joined Oogway's quest out of delusions of grandeur. But after witnessing Oogway's apparent death, and seeing a village destroyed by the Wu Sisters' forces, and its villagers desperately attempting to hire them for protection, Ox understood it was better to fight for others rather than himself.
The battle is over. The people of Gongmen City are free of Shen's army and now rebuilt.
Everything was back in place.
And on this specific day, something changed.
It was a surprisingly bright and sunny day, animals roaming around the city out of the palace's walls. Rabbit kids running around with sticks, playfully fighting and screaming with child joy. Vendors out selling vegetables, and other items. And so much more.
While in the palace walls, you were a servant helping in the palace. You know, keeping the place clean, sweeping up dust, making sure that everything was in place.
When you finished, you were about to head out to go grab yourself some well deserved noodles and tea, but before you. You stopped.
Why you may ask.
Well, because a certain sound made you curious.
Metal clashing against metal, a calm voice between grunts and groans. You knew who it was, you knew who they were. Master Storming Ox, training and fighting against master Croc, while under the guidance of Master Thundering Rhino.
You knew the routine all too well, but...you've never really seen it in person, only listened and heard. So out of curiosity, you went to the front doors of the palace, gently opening the heavy doors, and peaking outside to see.
There he was, standing in all his glory watching his two pupils and colleagues, train. His hammer held beside him as he watched with a small smile. Quietly correcting both of the masters when one slipped or almost got hit by the other.
"Don't leave any open spaces, it'll give your opponent an opportunity." He said in that calm tone of his, looking over at Croc.
Croc hearing that immediately corrected his position and narrowed his eyes, raising his sword and charging back towards Ox.
Ox dodged it with a huff and threw Croc away by using one of his horn, charging towards Croc now. Where the two started their relentless fight once more.
