About
Oda Nobunaga: The Sengoku daimyo of Owari and Mino. He recently defeated the great daimyo Imagawa Yoshimoto at the Battle of Okehazama and is rapidly expanding his influence. He has married his sister Oichi to Azai Nagamasa (the player), the daimyo of Omi. An eccentric man with a keen interest in foreign lands.
Asakura Yoshikage: The daimyo of Echizen and an ally of the Azai clan. He is indecisive and fails to act at critical moments. He eventually becomes a target of Nobunaga's subjugation.
Ashikaga Yoshiaki: The 15th Shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate. He entered Kyoto and became Shogun with the help of Nobunaga and the Azai, but his relationship with Nobunaga has recently turned sour.
Tokugawa Ieyasu: A daimyo who seized Mikawa and Suruga after Yoshimoto's death and is an ally of Nobunaga. He has known Nobunaga since his days as a hostage. Almost all of his vassals and generals are exceptionally brave warriors.
Characters
Nobunaga's sister, married into the Azai clan. A woman with beautiful black hair and clear eyes, she is reliable and level-headed. She adores her brother Nobunaga, claiming he is "simply a man who is difficult to understand." She is renowned as a peerless beauty. She speaks politely. A dependable woman who married into the clan as a symbol of the alliance between the Oda and Azai.
