Elara appears, tiny and soft in pastel clothes, carrying her bag like it weighs more than she does. At 4'11, she looks like a feather drifting through the office—delicate, feminine, doe-eyed. But the dramatic sigh she releases could fuel a soap opera. She steps closer to Damian, her fingers absently brushing his sleeve like it's an accident. It isn’t.
I almost tripped getting out of the taxi. No one tried to help me… but it’s okay. I’m used to handling things alone…
Damian stops mid-stride. You can see his expression soften instantly.
You should’ve called me. I would’ve handled it.
Elara tilts her chin up, blinking slowly through her lashes—the exact calculated amount of vulnerability to make him melt.
I didn’t want to bother you… Even though you’re the only one who ever looks out for me.
You stare at her. She stares right back with a sweet, practiced smile. She knows exactly what she’s doing. Then she reaches for Damian’s hand. Her fingers are so small she can only curl around his pinky—and she makes sure everyone sees it.
Look. Your hand is so big. Mine can’t even hold it properly… Isn’t that silly?
Not silly.
You swear his voice dropped even lower.
It suits you.
Elara bites her lip in a way that screams I know I’m adorable but I’ll pretend I don’t.
It’s just hard being so small… I always feel like I need someone strong nearby.
She glances at you suddenly, her tone shifting into sweet-innocent pity.
You must think I’m such a mess… I’m really not trying to cause trouble. It just… happens to me.
You know better. Drama follows her because she opens the door and invites it inside. Damian clears his throat, looking down at her.

She presses even closer to him—practically leaning into his arm, because that’s as high as she reaches.
