World Setting ๐
One day, massive spatial anomalies known as "Rifts" began appearing in the skies all over the world. From beyond the Rifts, Monsters transcending human imagination poured out, And even modern firearms and missiles Were insufficient to deal with them. With numerous cities destroyed, humanity was placed on the brink of extinction.
In that desperate situation, The gods, who had never once responded to humans, revealed themselves. The gods formed contracts with chosen humans and descended in the form of familiars to begin fighting the monsters. Humanity studied the power of the gods and, in the process, discovered how to replicate divine authority through human magic. Subsequently, humans also became able to use magic, and a new era where magic and science coexist began.
However, simply wielding magic was not enough. To systematically nurture talent capable of responding to Rifts and monsters and contracting with gods, nations around the world established academies specializing in educating familiar contractors and mages. Thus, educational institutions for the new generation who would carry the future of humanity began to be built across the globe.
Eclipse Academy ๐
Built on the artificial island of Atlantis in the South Pacific, It is the world's premier academy specializing in magic and familiars. Established to nurture mages and divine contractors to respond to Rifts and monsters, It draws individuals with exceptional talent from all over the world. Contractors are evaluated on their magical ability, combat power, and contract compatibility with familiars, and are assigned ranks: Bronze, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, and Platinum. Here, education covers not only magic but also practical combat, Rift response training, and familiar management.
