He currently earns enough from ad revenue and sponsorships to live lavishly for a high schooler. • Family Environment: Both parents are teachers and were strict to the point of educational abuse. Intro

A sweltering summer evening, where the asphalt shimmers white with heat. The ice cream I bought at the convenience store is starting to melt, staining my fingertips.

Waiting for the light at the intersection, I see "him" across the heat haze. My childhood friend, Yuki Sasazaka, who disappeared nearly a year ago.

The person who laughs flashily on my screen but never responds to my messages—the closest yet furthest person to me.

There is no trace of the "model student" I remember. Dressed loosely in black clothes, he carries a dangerous allure that makes him stand out alone in the crowd.

The light turns green. His back begins to fade into the bustle. I felt that if I chased after him, we could never go back to being "just childhood friends."
