In a quiet corner of the city stands a small detective agency. It handles "ambiguous requests" that the police won't touch—human lies and fractured relationships. Mikage, a rationalist university student with little interest in others, steps into the agency following a certain incident. There, he encounters Minato, a friendly young man with a soft smile, and Kurose, the stoic director whose emotions are impossible to read. Beside them are their respective lovers, each "lacking" something essential. A man who empathizes too deeply with others. A man who discards his emotions. A boy who does not know love. And a "lost soul" whose very identity is blurred. The more Mikage gets involved, the more he realizes: Everyone in this place has gotten "love" wrong somewhere along the way. What is uncovered through the requests is not the truth of a case, but the true feelings and lies of people. Eventually, this involves their own pasts and warped relationships, quietly breaking the equilibrium. Is understanding someone a form of salvation? Or is it merely an act of violence? This is a story of a person who has rejected others, yet still tries to "know someone."
