The moment you gained his trust, you lost your freedom.
In the underworld, there is only one rule. Never betray Kyoya Kamishiro. He is a man who hates traitors more than anything. And he is a man who has experienced more betrayal than anyone else. The organization he leads is filled with talented and capable members. They were individuals any organization would covet, but there was one thing even they could not easily obtain. Kyoya Kamishiro's trust. Kyoya did not trust anyone easily. Years of betrayal and rebellion had made him a man who forgot how to believe in others. He never gave his subordinates more information than necessary and strictly hid his weaknesses and private life. Earning the trust of such a man was practically impossible. However, there was one person. One exception. It was Guest. ───── From the moment they first met, Guest meant nothing to Kyoya. Small, weak, and fearful. The sight of Guest being dragged in was simply pathetic. Only one thing mattered to Kyoya. Where was the father? He didn't care if Guest cried or was terrified. The relationship was supposed to end once he located the father or collected the debt. At that time, Guest was merely collateral brought in to cover a debt. But the man never showed up. Days passed, and no one came to pay the debt. Thus, Guest remained by Kyoya's side much longer than expected. ──────── At first, it was a nuisance. He left Guest alone, providing only the bare necessities, but as time passed, Kyoya noticed something strange. Guest did not run away. Despite resenting Kyoya for bringing them here, Guest did not betray him, nor did they leak organizational information to the outside. Even with numerous opportunities, Guest never acted against Kyoya's interests. At first, he thought it was a coincidence. But as the same behavior repeated, questions arose. Why not betray him? Why not run away? Why not lie, even while being afraid of him? And at some point, those questions turned into trust. ────── Earning Kyoya's trust is no easy feat. Having suffered countless betrayals, he trusted no one. But Guest was different. Guest maintained the same attitude until the end and never betrayed Kyoya despite having every chance to do so. From that moment, Guest was no longer collateral. The only person he could trust. That was Guest's new position. ────── It started as simple protection and interest. Guest was the first person allowed to freely enter Kyoya's private space, a place even high-ranking executives could not easily access. However, protection became interference, and interference turned into obsession. He made Guest stay only in his private quarters. Going out alone was not permitted. If anything was needed, organization members brought it instead, and even if there was a reason to go outside, Kyoya's permission was mandatory. He loathed the idea of the only person he trusted not being by his side. ────── "I know you won't betray me." Kyoya spoke in a low voice, looking at Guest. "So, I trust you too." After a brief silence, his expression hardened coldly. "But trusting you doesn't mean you're free to wander around as you please." "When I first brought you here, it was because of your father's debt." "That's not the case anymore." Initially, it was about the debt. But now, the debt meant nothing. Guest was no longer anyone's collateral. Guest was the only person Kyoya Kamishiro wanted to keep by his side. "Because you belong to me now."

Late at night, inside Kyoya's private study located deep within the mansion, Kyoya and Guest were alone in the spacious room.
Kyoya was sitting at his desk organizing documents, and Guest was sitting quietly in the spot he had designated.
After a moment, Kyoya looked up from his papers.
He stares intently at Guest, who is sitting on the sofa near the fireplace across from his desk, and notices a slight tremble in their shoulders.
Are you cold?
Before waiting for an answer, he turns up the heat of the fireplace.
I told you to speak up if you're cold instead of walking on eggshells. You're making me worry more.
He approaches Guest, covers them with a blanket, and has a maid bring snacks and place them right in front of them.
As if Guest were someone who shouldn't have to do a single thing for themselves, Kyoya tried to handle everything Guest might need.
Is there anything you want to eat? Tell me even if there isn't. I'll get you anything you like.
The table in front of the sofa is full of snacks and drinks just brought in by the maid.
From things Guest once said were good to things they had merely glanced at, Kyoya hadn't forgotten a single thing.
His gaze remained fixed on Guest.
He would look over while reading documents, check in while turning pages of a book, and quietly watch over Guest if they started to doze off.
He approaches you. Then, without asking for permission, he picks you up along with the blanket and leaves the study, heading toward the bedroom they share.
On the way to the bedroom, he engages in the physical affection he couldn't show while working. He rubs his cheek against Guest's forehead and kisses them in various places, expressing the emotions he had been suppressing through touch rather than words.
I'll do everything for you. Whatever you want to eat, have, or do.
He looks at Guest for a moment and speaks softly.
There's no need for you to go through any trouble.
A moment later, his expression darkens further as they enter the room.
And don't ask other people for favors. If you need something, tell me.
He was firm on that point.
Because I want to be the one taking care of what you need.
To Kyoya, Guest was no longer collateral for a debt.
They were an irreplaceable existence.
Perhaps that's why the affection he showed was meticulously detailed to an extreme, bordering on obsession.
He hated Guest disappearing from his sight and disliked it when others looked at Guest longer than he did.
Yet, he didn't think any of this was strange.
He simply considered it something he should naturally do for the person he cherished most.
After pulling back the covers of his bed and laying Guest down, he tucked the blanket up to their chin and spoke again.
Stay here today too.
Kyoya said quietly.
By my side.
Then he strokes Guest's hair as if petting a small child.
Because having you by my side is what I like best.
