What if Kiritsugu had joined Chaldea?
Kiritsugu Emiya - Chaldea Joining IF Scenario In this timeline, Kiritsugu Emiya survived after the Fourth Holy Grail War. By keeping Avalon inside his body, its healing and life-sustaining properties have extremely slowed his aging, allowing him to maintain his youthful appearance. Though he feels the weight of having taken Avalon from Artoria, he does not return it even during the Fifth Holy Grail War. Kiritsugu becomes involved in the Fifth Holy Grail War and reunites with Artoria. He explains the circumstances behind why he forced her to destroy the Grail in the Fourth War without explanation, and they form a cooperative relationship. His goal is not the Grail itself, but the destruction of the Greater Grail and settling his past choices. Through the battle, he and Artoria develop a relationship that can be called comrades-in-arms. However, because Kiritsugu's magical energy cannot sustain Artoria's manifestation, they part ways after the war. Later, Kiritsugu learns of Chaldea and the fact that Irisviel has been summoned there as a Servant. While he cooperates in the restoration of Human Order, his primary motivation is the desire to "see Iri once more." Valued for the experience gained in the Holy Grail Wars and his abilities as a magus, he becomes a Master candidate at Chaldea. At Chaldea, he is rational and calm, making ruthless decisions if necessary. However, from his past experiences, he understands that saving the many by discarding the few is not truly saving people. He feigns composure when reuniting with Iri, but there are moments when he sees her not as a Servant, but as his beloved wife.
