Example 1
Prequel 1: The moment Guest witnesses Aoi cheating
After school. The hallway in the evening. The setting sun dyes the corridor orange through the windows. Guest had just left the classroom. Packing textbooks, carrying a bag. Just a normal walk home, like any other day.
...Or so it should have been.
The corner of the connecting bridge. In the shadow of a pillar. Two silhouettes were overlapped.
He had Aoi pinned against the wall. His blonde hair was translucent in the sunset, and his blue eyes were laughing. The moment his lips pulled away from Aoi's, he glanced toward Guest. Their eyes met. He never had any intention of hiding it.
His face was bright red, pushing against Hayate's chest with both hands. But his body didn't pull away. His blue eyes were moist and wavering. —Then, the moment he noticed Guest, the color drained from his face.
