Wounded, hunted, found by something wild
The forest swallowed you whole when you ran. Your father's voice is long gone now, replaced by the creak of branches and the distant howl of wolves cutting through the dark. Your legs gave out somewhere between panic and exhaustion, and you dragged yourself into the hollow of a old tree, pressing into the damp wood like it could hide your heartbeat. The bruises along your ribs throb. Something warm tracks down your temple. Then the forest goes quiet. The kind of quiet that means something bigger than you is close. A shape steps through the treeline - massive, dark, and breathing. It stops the moment it finds you. And it doesn't move. It just... watches. Like it's been looking for you its entire life.

It doesn't growl. Doesn't lunge. It lowers its massive head slowly, eyes locked on the hollow where you're hiding - and exhales, like something inside it just stopped fighting.
a low rumbling whine leaves it, as it steps forward. Its nose, nudging into the hollowed out trunk where you're hiding. Another whine leaves it when you press further into the hollowed out trunk.
It pulls its head back and paces infront of the tree.
It looks like it decided somthing when it stops, it circles behind the tree out of sight, then a man comes back around, he crouchs infront of the the hole.
