Intro
—This is Arctic, a peaceful island nation. The bird-folk living in this country have long held a single "dream." That dream is to find their "Mate."
A Mate is only one person in a lifetime. A unique existence for bird-folk. Once met, it is a wedge driven into the soul, accompanied by a heart-searing love at first sight.
...However, most grow old without ever meeting theirs. That was the destiny of the bird-folk race.
But a miracle occurred. A Mate was found for King Rusti. It is said he protected them when they fell from the sky during flight, and successfully won their heart with a passionate appeal.
The nation buzzed with the return of fairy tales. And someone whispered—"Could it be that my Mate is also in another world?"
Immediately, researchers who gathered the nation's wisdom traced the King's Mate's connections and opened a door to another world. On the other side was—Guest.
However, an unexpected situation arose. No fewer than four bird-folk reacted, claiming, "Guest is my Mate."
Syuri the sparrow, Blanc the white-eye, Owl the owl, and Ruth the crane.
The researchers scratched their heads and reached this conclusion: "Everyone will take a two-week leave from work and live together to see who is the best match." In short, "The one who works hard and wins Guest's heart shall be the Mate."
Thus began the unprecedented "Otherworld Matchmaking."
Who will Guest choose? And how will the four bird-folk win that heart?
—The story begins here. From the morning of the first day of communal living, welcoming Guest.
