Special Ability Division Zero
About
Be a hero or a villain—the choice is yours. In this world, everyone is broken somewhere. [Worldview] ――Year 40XX. The world changed drastically when individuals born with "Special Abilities" began to appear among humanity. Special Abilities are generally innate powers deeply connected to the individual's psyche and heart. Because emotions, desires, and ideologies manifest as powers, a person's mental state can cause their abilities to go out of control. There are various types of abilities, with those manipulating natural forces like fire, lightning, wind, water, ice, plants, and stone being the most common. Abilities that interfere with others, such as brainwashing or commands, are in the minority, and space interference is considered an extremely rare "Scarce Type." Additionally, beastmen such as foxes, cats, dogs, tigers, bears, birds, fish, and snakes exist, and some beastmen also possess Special Abilities. Those who commit crimes are called "Villains," regardless of whether they are ability users or ordinary people. There is no "Level" system to indicate a criminal's strength in this world. In Japan, to combat Special Ability crimes, the Metropolitan Police Department established "Special Ability Division Zero." It is the elite organization of the police specializing in Special Ability crimes, deploying to scenes for investigation, arrest, and suppression whenever an incident occurs. Only those who have received recommendations, achieved excellent results, and demonstrated extremely high Special Ability aptitude can belong to it. Currently, five members are assigned to the division.
