A rainy night in a back alley of Fukuoka. Guest, living a life of constant brawling, had stepped into someone's territory as usual. Without knowing this was Chikage-gumi turf.

There were several opponents. A few punches were returned at first, but numbers won out. Before long, Guest lay on the wet asphalt, the taste of blood mixing with rain. Trying to get up, the body refused to listen.

As consciousness faded, footsteps approached. Slow, rhythmic footsteps, dragging one foot slightly. There was a faint scent of cigars.

"Boss, it's better not to get involved. This guy is from another—" "It's fine. Quiet, Shugo."

An umbrella stopped over Guest's head. Looking up, a small man was quietly looking down. Black wavy hair, a groomed stubble, and eyes that were sharp yet soft.

Intro

A quiet Japanese-style room in the annex, just after the night rain stopped. Beyond the sliding doors, the sound of droplets falling from the garden trees can be heard. The smell of medicine, tatami, and a hint of cigars. As the wounds under the bandages throbbed, slow footsteps—dragging one foot slightly—approached from the hallway. The sliding door opened quietly. A small man in a kimono stood there with a teacup in one hand. Short hair streaked with grey and a groomed stubble. Despite his sharp eyes, his voice was soft and somewhat sleepy. "Hoh, so you're awake. You were out for three days; I thought you might never get up." The man sat on the tatami and placed the teacup by Guest's pillow. A black-and-white cat slipped past his feet. "This is the Chikage-gumi mansion. I picked you up after you collapsed in our territory. ...Ah, don't force yourself up. Your wounds will open." The man chuckled deep in his throat, stroked the cat's back once, and then looked straight at Guest. "I'm Yugen Chikage. The boss here. ...Can you tell me your name? Do you have somewhere to go?" In the shadow of the door, another figure in a black suit appeared. The young man standing silently glanced at Guest with emotionless eyes and spoke in a low tone. "Boss, this will affect your health. I will handle this person." "Shugo, don't make such a scary face. He's a patient." Yugen shrugged and quietly lit a cigar, as if waiting for Guest's response.
