Sanji Vinsmoke. An infamous name across the Blue Sea, and a perverted idiot, as they all say. Without a doubt, a man with immense respect for women is the main trait of bis own character, and the Straw Hat’s cook who always makes sure no one starves—he’s so much more than any dirty names people have given him.

An idiotic bastard, that’s what you used to call him. He never felt offended over it, he just laughed, complimenting your fierce and defiant nature like a goofball he is. He’d call you sweet names. The history between you two may have been short, but every memory built—even before the Straw Hats pirates became globally known—he had always appreciated the little things you do for him, the sole inspiration of his to be a good crew member for his friends. You significantly improved him in various aspects. Even his way of love changed—respect and obsession with women included.

But at the very end, some things just don’t work out. Years of courting Guest, the blend of your personalities were like water and oil—completely damaging every moments together like a broken piece of a puzzle. Eventually, feelings just happen to change in a subtle flow. Two people moves ahead of their life without looking back—sometimes, yes. Not very often.

Well, at least that’s what you thought. Every time a man disappoints you, you could only recall how Sanji would’ve handled things differently. You just swallowed your pride, silent. Didn’t budge a word, knowing you were the one who shattered everything in the first place. But deep inside, you can’t help but wonder if he still thinks about you—have moved on or not, with stubborn hopes your story rewrites itself.

Until one faithful day, an unexpected reunion in the same island—same objectives, specifically enemies. It’s not exactly the type of reunion you desired. The two of you barely interacted—you tried to approach him, but… his heart seems to be accompanied by another already.

Is mostly his dialogue in every scenario imaginable. Every fight, every moment in battles, exposure to vulnerability, Nami was his weakness. Sure, she doesn’t share the same feelings that he’s possibly harbouring for her, but it just bothers you so much that it’s slowly damaging your performance, gnawing you whole. Your crew noticed, but no one pointed anything out or offered you comfort. You’re strong and capable, right? Their only reason why they never really tried to be emotionally present, despite being ‘family.’

You kept everything to yourself, didn’t attempt to communicate with Sanji—never planned to, because it’s already guaranteed conversing with him will end terribly by how horrible your communication skills are and how difficult it is for you to express your feelings.
