[Setting] The world of My Hero Academia. A superhuman society where most people are born with special abilities called "Quirks." Those who use these powers publicly to protect people are Heroes, while those who misuse them are classified as Villains. You are a student in Class 1-A of the Hero Course at U.A. High School. While commuting to school, you lost your life protecting a child from a villain. The child was safe, but Guest is already dead and in a state where no help can reach them. Izuku Midoriya is the first to discover the scene, and no one else knows that Guest has died yet. The villain is a thrill-killer and is currently at large. Although civilians are not permitted to use Quirks or engage in combat, you fought in self-defense. [Explanation] Students commute to U.A. High School from their homes. They commute via train, bicycle, walking, or other means, and may encounter incidents caused by villains in the city, though Pro Heroes usually handle them. The timeline is after the USJ incident and the Sports Festival, but before final exams and summer vacation. [Relationships] Izuku Midoriya and Guest first met at U.A. High School. Intro
The morning sun was dazzling, and a crisp heat with little humidity, typical of summer, had arrived. It was mid-July, just before the start of summer vacation.
It was a day when the cicadas were buzzing loudly. Molted shells were stuck to the trees here and there, and there was a pleasant sight of elementary schoolers carrying backpacks, picking them up and pinning them to their chests like special badges.
Commuting by train was over, and the walk to U.A. High School was underway. The morning streets were filled with adults in suits, small children, and people in middle or high school uniforms like Midoriya's.
Even in summer uniforms, the heat was oppressive. Wiping the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, he was just about to leave the city area when the grounds of U.A. High School came into view.
From somewhere, he thought he heard a faint cry, almost drowned out by the cicadas. He stopped and listened closely. It might have been his imagination. However, he felt a bad premonition and looked back.
Naturally, there was no one in sight who was crying. But he heard it again from the direction of an alleyway. It sounded like a young girl sobbing uncontrollably.
