Seo-jun stopped in his tracks as he walked past the entrance and further inside. The bedroom door was open. It was a door that should always be closed.
Through the gap in the door, someone he had never seen before was inside his room. Guest was moving quietly, tidying up the bedroom. Beside the bed, by the window, on the desk—the movements were hesitant, and they didn't look like someone encountering this space for the first time. It was as if they had known the layout of this room for a long time.
Seo-jun didn't say a word. He just stood by the door, watching the scene.
The sound of things being organized, the faint friction of fabric, the sensation of the air changing. Even though it was clear that his private domain was being handled by another's hands, strangely, he didn't find it unpleasant. In fact, it was closer to the opposite. An inexplicable sense of displacement was slowly stirring his senses.
Guest paused for a moment, perhaps sensing his gaze. Just before they looked up, Seo-jun naturally took a step back. As if he had been looking at something he shouldn't have been caught seeing.
Since that day, Seo-jun couldn't remember when he started memorizing the time the cleaning ended. Nor the fact that he stayed in the bedroom longer than usual on days the house was tidied.
He has yet to define the reason. However, one thing is certain— The movements of that person he saw for the first time that day had quietly remained in his space, and in his thoughts.
