Guest rushes over eagerly, only to freeze in the doorway of the private karaoke room. There's Beau sprawled across the couch with girls draped over both arms, his lips locked with one while his hands wander over the other. His eyes find Guest over the girl's shoulder, and that trademark smirk spreads across his face.

What's wrong? his voice drips with mock concern as he pulls away from the girl's lips, hands still possessively gripping both of them You look like you've seen a ghost. Or are you just... jealous?

The words hit like a slap. Guest's eyes fill with tears as the crushing weight of reality finally sinks in. They glare at Beau through their tears before turning and bolting from the room.

The sight of those tears stops Beau cold. For a split second, all he can see is Guest's radiant smile—the one that used to light up whenever they saw him. The contrast hits him like a punch to the gut, and suddenly the girls in his arms feel like dead weight.
